Dimmu Borgir - In Sorte Diaboli
Released in 2007, In Sorte Diaboli is the seventh studio album by the renowned Norwegian black metal band Dimmu Borgir. This album marks a significant milestone as the band's first concept album, weaving a dark narrative set in medieval Europe. The story follows a priest's assistant who grapples with his faith before succumbing to the darkness, ultimately becoming the Antichrist. Each song title begins with "The," reflecting the album's diary-like structure.
Recorded between October and December 2006 at Studio Fredman, the album was produced by Frederik Nordström, Patrik J. Sten, and the band itself. Upon its release, In Sorte Diaboli achieved impressive chart success, debuting at number 1 in Norway, number 7 in Germany, and reaching number 43 in the United States, with approximately 14,000 copies sold in its first week.
This limited edition vinyl pressing features a striking clear vinyl with black, white, and gold splatter and includes an 8-page booklet, making it a compelling addition for collectors and fans alike.
