Prodigy - Return Of The Mac
Experience the powerful artistry of Prodigy with the vinyl release of Return Of The Mac. Originally issued in 2007, this album showcases Prodigy's distinctive style and lyrical prowess, marked by his roots in Mobb Deep. Collaborating with long-time partner The Alchemist, Prodigy crafted this record as a mixtape to keep fans engaged until his next major release, H.N.I.C. Part 2. However, the quality of the material led to its commercial release, which has since been regarded as one of his finest works in over a decade, even earning praise from Pitchfork for its unexpected comeback.
This pressing features a vibrant red vinyl, housed in a stylish gatefold jacket, making it a striking addition to any collection. The album is enriched with classic Blaxploitation samples, creating a nostalgic backdrop that complements Prodigy's vivid storytelling of his New York upbringing. Upon its release, Return Of The Mac achieved notable success, reaching #32 on the Billboard Top 200, solidifying its place in hip-hop history.
